T&T explores energy projects with Indonesia

T&T and Indonesia have laid the foundation for possible future co-operation in energy projects following a meeting between Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine and Prianti Gagarin Djatmiko Singgih, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to this country. During their discussions on Monday at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs, they discussed several potential areas of co-operation to be explored.

The ambassador said Indonesia is interested in tapping into T&T’s expertise in several areas in the gas industry, namely gas distribution networks, and developing gas export mechanisms. There is also the potential for co-operation on renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.

Ramnarine said he welcomed the confidence shown in T&T’s energy sector and the local expertise developed over the years, and is looking forward to advancing discussions between the National Energy Corporation (NEC) and its Indonesian counterparts.
