Energy Stakeholders To Meet On Geothermal Energy in the Caribbean Project

Energy stakeholders in the Caribbean have been invited to Dominica for the meeting of the Project Steering Committee of the Geothermal Energy in the Caribbean Islands project. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday the 20th of November, 2009 at the Fort Young Hotel in Roseau.


This gathering is the Project Steering Committee Meeting of the Interreg IIIB financed component of the project entitled “Preparation of a Geothermal-based Cross-Border Electrical Interconnection in the Caribbean”.


Representatives of the key partners and stakeholders of the Transnational Partnership Agreement between the Government of Dominica, the Regional Councils of Guadeloupe and Martinique, the French Geological Survey, and the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management, and will address the meeting as well as receive the presentation of the key findings and recommendations of the reports of the studies undertaken under the Agreement.
